There are very few good options when it comes to treating nail fungus and other nail dystrophies. Keryflex™ is a safe alternative to creating a cosmetic nail that does not irritate the skin. The risk of infection is less compared to outside nail pedicure salons.

INDICATIONS FOR KERYFLEX™:
It can be used alone, or in combination with oral medications or laser treatment, for the treatment of nail fungus. Other indications include nail trauma, brittle nails, and nail dystrophy caused by local and systemic conditions. It is safe to use with nail polishes and acetone.
There have been no studies done on the use of Keryflex™. Therefore, it is not recommended in those who are pregnant, may be pregnant, or are trying to get pregnant. Keryflex™should also not be used on those with diabetic neuropathy and certain other types of neurological disorders that cause a loss of sensation in the lower extremities. For other precautions, please ask the doctor.
THE PROCEDURE: WHAT TO EXPECT
PREPARATION OF THE TOE:
The nail(s) should be clean and dry, free of polish and nail lacquers for at least 2-3 days prior to application of the Keryflex nail(s).
The nail(s) will be trimmed back and filed thin, leaving a portion of your natural nail intact. Keryflex is then applied and allowed to set using UV-light for approximately 2 minutes. Final touches are then made to shape the nail(s).
The nail should not but cut but can be filed
It is OK to continue use of topical anti-fungal medications on the residual natural nail plate
Repeat applications can be done 2-3 months later
